Privacy
General
This privacy policy applies to Partout and is intended only for persons located in the Netherlands, parties entering into an agreement with Partout or visiting one of our websites. Partout’s products and services may be subject to different legal requirements depending on the country in which they are offered and sold. These terms apply only to Partout’s products and services in the Netherlands and are aimed exclusively at persons located in the Netherlands. By continuing your visit to our website, you actively indicate that you agree to our privacy policy. If you do not wish to accept our privacy policy, we ask you to stop using our services, including visiting our websites, and to reconsider any consent already given. In that case, remember that you are also free to delete any cookies still present, if you have accepted them.
The thinking behind this privacy policy
Privacy is becoming an issue for more and more people. There is often uncertainty about what happens to your personal data. Through this privacy policy, we want to explain what information we collect and how we use and protect it. In doing so, Partout tries, insofar as we are responsible for data processing or this is reasonably within our reach, to give you as much control as possible over your personal information. We hope you trust our carefully drafted privacy policy and give us permission to process your data. One of the purposes of this privacy policy is to inform you about what we do with personal data and what you can give consent for. You are entirely free to give this consent. We need this consent for the use of some products and services. Without consent, for example, we cannot (fully) provide the website services. You are free to change or withdraw your consent at any time. You can let us know at any time. If you are concerned about the way we process personal data, Partout is happy to talk to you to address those concerns. That is why this privacy policy sets out various ways to get in touch with us.
Personal data and data
This privacy policy describes how we handle the information you may provide or generate while visiting our website(s) and when using our products and services. This information may consist of data or personal data. By personal data we mean all data that identifies you as a person. In principle, we do not ask you for sensitive information, such as religious beliefs or citizen service number (BSN), nor do we store it. We are free to collect and process data that is not personal data, but we treat it with appropriate care. All personal data you provide is processed by or on behalf of Partout in accordance with the requirements of the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act.
Accepting cookies
In general, you can visit our websites without telling us who you are or leaving any information about yourself. However, Partout may place information on your device during your visit, if your browser allows it. For this we also use “cookies”. A cookie is an information file that our website (server) places on the computer, tablet or phone (“device”) you use to visit this website. For example, we use functional cookies to provide our services or to ensure the website works properly. We need your consent to place some cookies. By continuing your visit, clicking on links or elements, or browsing further within this website in any way, you indicate through an active action that you consent to the placement of cookies for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.
Refusing cookies or deleting placed cookies
Although our website may offer (functional) cookies, you can influence how you handle the cookies offered while visiting websites. For example, you can delete placed cookies via your browser and switch off the acceptance of (certain) new cookies. The following hyperlinks contain more information on how to manage cookies in some popular web browsers: Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari. Deleting or switching off cookies may cause parts of our website to stop working or to display incorrectly. It also makes it harder for us to improve our website, tailor advertising to your wishes and improve our products.
Web beacons
In addition to cookies, Partout websites may contain electronic images, also known as web beacons, that allow us to count the number of visitors to a website. Web beacons are not used to gain access to your personal data. We use web beacons to collect anonymous information about the use of our websites. Partout collects only a limited set of information, including the time and date of a page view. This data may be shared on behalf of Partout with companies that support us, such as Google in analysing data, so that we gain better insight into how visitors use the web pages and into the effectiveness of advertisements. Because web beacons are the same as any other request from your device to display the web page, you cannot switch off or refuse web beacons. However, they can be made inactive by installing additional software (such as widgets, plugins or add-ons) in your web browser.
JavaScript
Our websites may make use of JavaScript, among other things. These are computer scripts that improve the functionality of our websites. We do not collect personal data via JavaScript, but we may use it to study visitor behaviour. For example, how often the website or parts of it have been clicked, and the format in which your device prefers to receive information. You can also deactivate JavaScript via your browser settings.
Consent for data for limited purposes
We prefer to collect our information through anonymous data, but sometimes personal data may be needed to perform an agreement or for a purpose as set out in this article 8. We may collect this personal data in the ways described in this privacy policy. By accepting this privacy policy, you give Partout permission to collect, process, use, reproduce and distribute your personal data for the following purposes (a to e).
a) Using data for the technical operation of the website. This concerns data you (voluntarily) provide when visiting, such as IP address, device used, browser type and operating system. We keep this data for the duration of the visit and do not sell it to third parties.
b) Collecting data to analyse the duration, extent and frequency of your visit. We use the results of the analysis to improve the technical operation, ease of use and appeal of this website. We keep collected data separate from other data as much as possible and anonymous as far as possible.
c) Researching your wishes, behaviour and preferences (alongside all other satisfied users and visitors) with regard to our products. We do this mainly through special promotions and social media and to a limited extent through this website. We do not sell this information to third parties. We also keep this data separate from other data as much as possible and anonymous as far as possible.
d) Researching the effectiveness of (online) media campaigns. We use the results of the analysis to strengthen our relationship with you and to find and reach people who are interested in our products. In this research we focus on groups of consumers, not on individual users. We may, however, approach groups of users, of which you could be part, with targeted information about products, provided you have given consent for this. We do not sell this information to third parties.
e) Transferring your data to government bodies and third parties. Partout does not do this “just like that”. A request to provide personal data must be based on a court order or a legal or contractual obligation. Where reasonably possible for us, we may decide to inform you of this. For more information, see also article 10 of this privacy policy.
Consent for specific purposes
Partout will not collect, use or disclose personal data without your consent. We can and may, however, collect data without consent if it cannot be traced directly to you. Where we combine data and personal data (which Partout does only insofar as necessary and within the purpose), we treat the combined data as personal data. For example, we may collect the Internet Protocol address (‘IP address’) of visitors to our websites. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to your device when you use the internet. At our end, IP addresses may be linked to data traceable to you. If this is the case, we treat your IP address as personal data. If we need consent, we will always make sure we have your consent. To make our websites and services easier to use, we have sometimes chosen to infer this consent from your actions and behaviour. By repeatedly or continuously using our websites, for example, you agree that we collect, use and disclose personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. We may also ask for your consent for a specific purpose not included in the previous article. In that case, we will ask for separate consent and keep a record of it.
Transfer of data to third parties
Our principle is to keep collected data for a limited period and not to share it with anyone, unless in our opinion there is a good reason to do so. Partout sometimes engages third parties in carrying out its data processing, marketing and technical work and other business activities. Insofar as these third parties have access to your personal data when performing the services and business activities concerned, Partout has taken technical and organisational measures to ensure your personal data is handled with care. Only when Partout is compelled by a court order or legal obligation to provide personal data to third parties, such as government bodies, will it comply. Under this article 10, your personal data may also be transferred to recipients in countries outside European territory. In such cases, Partout will take appropriate measures reasonably necessary to ensure your data is protected as well as possible.
Advance consent in the event of a transfer of business activities
In the unlikely event that we sell, merge, split or otherwise dispose of all or part of our business activities to another party, we reserve the right to transfer your information as part of the business assets. By agreeing to the privacy policy, you give Partout in advance the right in such cases, without needing your express consent – in addition to all agreements between us, including the rights arising from them – to transfer the (personal) data that is (in)directly associated with our services and products to our parent, sister and/or subsidiary companies, or to a third party.
Policy changes
The world, technical possibilities and legal obligations are constantly changing. Partout nevertheless wants to continue complying with all applicable legislation and to protect your data properly with technical and organisational measures. We work with legal and technical experts and, where applicable, with a government body to make sure Partout meets all applicable standards. We have the right to amend this privacy policy from time to time at our own discretion. In doing so, we aim to notify you by email of any policy changes that materially affect the way we use your information. Partout does, however, advise you to treat your privacy responsibly and therefore to check regularly yourself whether our privacy policy has changed. As stated elsewhere in this privacy policy, you may change your preferences and consent at any time, including after a change.
Questions and requests
To keep the quality of our services as high as possible, it is important to Partout that the data we hold is up to date, accurate and complete. You may therefore ask us at any time for access to the personal data we collect about you and ask us to amend it if your situation changes. You may also withdraw or extend the consent you have given, so that our wishes continue to align. If you would like more information, want to know what data we have recorded about you, or want to change your data or consent, you can always get in touch via info@partout.nl.
